RFQ: For the Design and Analysis of an Exploratory Consultation with Parents

As part of the Department of Children and Youth Affairs’ (DCYA) commitment to delivering the best future for children and their families, DCYA’s Parenting Support Policy Unit will lead on the development of a national model of parenting supports to ensure that high-quality, consistent parenting resources and information are available to meet parents’ needs.
To this end DCYA is seeking, through a Request for Quotes (RFQ), proposals to design, carry out, record, document and analyse the findings and outcomes from an exploratory consultation with parents comprising a series of 12 to 15 focus groups.
These focus groups will generate insights to identify support priorities, issues and preferences from a parent’s perspective in relation to:
- Parents sources of support for parenting
- Parents views of their own support needs
- Parents experiences of using formal parenting support services
- Parents knowledge of existing parenting support services
- Parents preferences for receiving or accessing information on parenting supports
In addition, lessons learned from this exploratory consultation and analysis may be used to inform a second phase of national research and consultation with parents.
It is anticipated that this exploratory consultation and analysis will take approximately two months to complete (40 working days), with a maximum budget of €20,000 excluding VAT.
The successful respondent to the RFQ must have least two comparable previous projects within the past five years and the final date for the submission of RFQ responses is 10/02/2020.
