Following the launch of the What Works Ireland Evidence Hub by Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Roderic O’Gorman T.D., service commissioners, programme providers and evaluators were invited to attend two workshops in June.
Miriam Sorgenfrei from the Department’s partner in creating the Evidence Hub, Foundations, talked the attendees through how the Evidence Hub can be used by policymakers, academics, service commissioners and providers. These workshops covered information on the evidence ratings on the Evidence Hub, and explain some common pitfalls in evaluation designs and how to avoid them as well as how to use the Evidence Hub alongside local data to make evidence-informed decisions.
