The final section of the What Works Launch on 19 June 2019 centered on funding opportunities under What Works: the 2018 Innovation Funding Scheme and the on-going What Works Network Support Funding Scheme. In the following segment, Mary Walsh from the Department of Children and Youth Affairs explains the purpose of these funding schemes and provides background to their implementation. She introduces one representative project under each scheme as part of a spotlight on the grantee organisations.
The chosen grantee organisations were Migrant Rights Centre Ireland (MRCI) and the Trinity Research in Childhood Network under the Innovation and Network Support funding schemes, respectively. The presentation given by MRCI includes the video the organisation produced with support from the 2018 Innovation Fund, ‘This Is My Life: growing up undocumented in Ireland.’
