Following a highly successful set of taster Action Learning events, the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth is offering a free, once-off active learning opportunity with colleagues who share a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.

Throughout the pandemic, professional development opportunities and networking were challenging as we all struggled to offer day-to-day supports in changing circumstances. The problem-solving that often happens informally with colleagues was not always possible and plans had to be changed to keep everyone safe and well. What Works, an initiative of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth is offering a series of blended physical and on-line action learning opportunities for staff working with children and young people with a commitment to promoting inclusive practice. More information on What Works and the Action Learning events can be found here.

This is an opportunity to build your capacity to take the learning from your professional life and work on real problems in a small group setting, ultimately to help children, young people, and families. The learning sets will be held both online and in person. You can choose between locations at Clonmel, Sligo, Dublin and Athlone.
