Launch event – What Works

The What Works Launch will place on 19 June 2019 in City Hall, Dame Street, Dublin 2

What Works (formerly the Quality and Capacity Building Initiative) aims to foster persistent curiosity among those working to improve the lives of children and young people. Its focus is on enhancing and embedding prevention and early intervention in children and young people’s policy, service and practice by focusing on the four key areas of
-data and evidence,
-professional development,
-and quality in children and young people’s services.

This conference launch event will bring together practitioners, providers, policy makers and researchers working with and for children and young people, including grantees under the previous QCBI Innovation Funding Scheme and the on-going Network Support Funding Scheme. The event will have the dual mandate to showcase the current and future work of the initiative and to share knowledge from national and international experts in prevention and early intervention.

The What Works Launch will begin at 10:00 with a keynote speech from the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Dr Katherine Zappone TD. Tea and coffee will be provided for attendees from 9:30, and the event will conclude with lunch at 13:00.
